I want to make sure you find the right therapist.
About me
First, let me start off by saying my name is pronounced kay-lee (I know it may not look that way when you read it!). I grew up on the South Shore with two brothers. I have always been passionate about mental health and encouraging everyone to seek counseling. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with friends & family, going to the beach, and binge watching the latest Netflix shows.
My background
I graduated from University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelors of Arts in Early Childhood Education. I moved on to my Masters of Education in Mental Health Counseling. I am currently licensed as a Mental Health Counselor and School Adjustment Counselor.
Populations I work with:
Ages 14-65+
Anxiety
Trauma
Teens in DCF custody
Depression
Family
Relationship issues
School Issues
Stress Management
Perfectionism
Perinatal Mental Health
My approach
My first goal when starting with a client is building rapport. In order for therapy to be effective, there needs to be a mutual trust between the client and therapist. I primarily use a cognitive behavioral and person centered approach to therapy. Although every session typically includes “talk therapy,” I also try to use a variety of interventions; play, sand tray, art, games, worksheets, etc.
